Global mandarin production reached a record high in 20201/22

According to a recent USDA report (January 2022), global orange production is estimated to increase by 2.8 million tonnes to a record 37.9 million tonnes in 2021-22, with growth in China expected to more than offset declines in the US and EU.

Consumption and exports are at record highs. Production and consumption have been on the rise for more than two decades as production has grown in China, the European Union, Morocco and Turkey.
